How House of Gleam uses your information

Last updated 14 October 2026

When you book with House of Gleam, they're responsible for your information (the “controller”). This notice explains what they collect, why, and your rights. To ask about your information, contact House of Gleam.

What's collected

  • Your name, mobile number and email address.
  • The address and postcode where the work will be done.
  • What you booked, when, and any notes or answers you give on the booking form.

Why it's used

  • To arrange and carry out your booking, and contact you about it (confirmations, reminders, changes). This is needed to provide what you booked.
  • To keep business and tax records, which the law requires.

You won't get marketing emails, and your information is never sold.

Who else handles it

House of Gleam uses these services, which only use your information to provide their service:

  • Gallus, the booking system, run by Rutherford Studio. How Gallus handles data.
  • Cloudflare (website hosting and spam protection), Neon (database, in London) and Resend (emails).

Some of these companies may handle data outside the UK. When they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law.

How long it's kept

Booking records are kept for as long as House of Gleam needs them for their business records, usually up to 6 years for tax. You can ask for your information to be deleted sooner unless they must keep it by law.

Your rights

You can ask House of Gleam for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. If you're unhappy with how your information is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.

Memberships

If you become a member, your plan, payment status and visits are kept for as long as you're a member and for accounting records afterwards. Your card is handled by Stripe; House of Gleam never sees your card number.

Waiting list

If you join the waiting list for a day, your name and email are kept so we can tell you if a time comes free. They're deleted automatically once that day has passed.

Cookies

The booking pages don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser briefly remembers your choices while you book, and Cloudflare runs a spam check that may set a cookie to tell people from bots. If you tick “Remember my details on this device”, your name, contact details and address are kept in your own browser (not sent anywhere) to fill in next time; untick it or choose “Not you? Clear them” to remove them.
