Gallus terms for businesses

Last updated 14 October 2026 (version 2026-10-14)

These terms are between your business (“you”) and [Your legal name], trading as Rutherford Studio, [Business address] (“we”), who run Gallus.

1. The service

We give you a licence to use Gallus while you're subscribed. We own the software. Your bookings, customers and content are yours, and you can export them at any time, including after you leave.

2. Plans and payment

  • You pay the plan price shown when you sign up, monthly or yearly, by card through Stripe. Prices are in pounds sterling.
  • A one-off setup fee applies to monthly plans unless it's waived (yearly plans, a 12-month commitment, or by agreement).
  • Yearly plans: full refund if you cancel in the first 30 days; after that no refund, but you keep access until the end of the year you paid for.
  • You can cancel at any time from Plan and billing, except during an agreed 12-month commitment. There's no other lock-in.
  • If a payment fails, you have 14 days to update your card. After that your public booking page is paused until payment is made. Your data is never deleted for non-payment.
  • Founding client prices stay the same for as long as you stay subscribed.

3. Deposits

Deposits are paid into your own Stripe account, under Stripe's terms between you and Stripe. We take no commission. Card fees, refunds and disputes are between you, your customer and Stripe.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your sign-in secure, and your prices, hours and policies accurate.
  • Only ask customers for information you need. If you ask about health, keep the consent tick switched on.
  • Deal with your customers' requests about their information (we'll help, see below).

5. How we process your customers' data

You're the controller of your customers' personal data; we process it on your behalf. When you agree to these terms, these data processing terms apply too:

  • What: names, contact details, addresses, booking details, answers to your booking questions (which may include health information) and deposit status, of people who book with you. We process them to run bookings, reminders and your dashboard, for as long as you use Gallus.
  • Instructions: we only use the data to provide Gallus to you, as you set it up, unless the law requires otherwise.
  • Confidentiality: anyone we let access the data must keep it confidential.
  • Security: data is encrypted in transit, each business's data is kept separate, and access is limited to people who need it to help you.
  • Sub-processors: Cloudflare, Neon, Resend and Stripe (listed in our privacy notice). We'll tell you before adding or replacing one, and you can object.
  • Help: we'll help you answer customers' requests and meet your security and breach duties.
  • Breaches: we'll tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting your customers' data.
  • At the end: when you leave, you can export everything; we delete your customers' data when you ask, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Checks: we'll give you the information you reasonably need to show these terms are being met.

6. Support and changes

Support is by message to @rutherford.dev on Instagram. We may update Gallus and these terms; we'll tell you about important changes before they apply.

7. Liability

We work hard to keep Gallus running, but can't promise it will never be unavailable. Our total liability to you in any year is limited to the fees you paid us in that year. We're not liable for lost profits or business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the law of [Scotland], and its courts deal with any disputes.
